Print .ppt Slides in Microsoft PowerPoint 2013

Print PowerPoint Presentations in the form of handouts to display multiple slides per page (a great way to save paper!)

  • Select File in the upper left hand corner and choose Print
  • Under "Settings" select "Full Page Slides" and from the drop down under "Handouts" select how many slides you would like to print per page.
  • Click Print to print the document

Print a .PDF File

  • Click on the Printer icon in the Adobe Toolbar above the document
  •  Click OK

NOTE: Do not use the browser toolbar (File>Print) as it will not print the document propertly but rather only print blank pages.

Print a .PDF document displaying multiple pages per sheet of paper (save paper!!)

  • Click on the Printer icon in the Adobe Toolbar above the document
  • Under "Page Scaling" use the drop down menu to selct "multiple sheets per page"
  • Under "Sheets per Page" use the drop down menu to select the number of pages per sheet you would like to print and preview the layout in the preview window
  • Click OK

Print a Slideshow in Blackboard

Do you want to print a slideshow in Blackboard?

If your would like to print out the course related slideshow in Blackboard, you can follow the following steps:

  • Open the slideshow in a folder
  • Save the slideshow to the local computer on the desktop
  • Select File in the upper left hand corner and choose Print
  • Under "Settings" select "Full Page Slides" and from the drop down under "Handouts" select how many slides you would like to print per page.
  • Click Print to print the document

Would you like to remove background colors in order to save the ink when you print out .ppt file?

  • Save the file to the hard drive, and open with PowerPoint (the full version, not the reader).  Then click the Design tab, and choose a plain, black-white-design.  Background colors will be eliminated.
