The Educational Technology Department serves as a resource for faculty and staff looking to enrich the quality of education at Gateway Community College through the proper application of technologies both on and off campus. Our department is responsible for maintaining the 117 classrooms on campus as well as providing technical support as needed while working to anticipate the technological needs of our faculty, staff, and students.
General services include faculty/staff training, event support, classroom support, campus wide digital signage, audio/video conversion and duplication, video and multimedia production, lamination, and lecture capture. We also provide support utilizing our TV Studio and our Smart products like Smart TVs and SmartBoards.
In addition to the services mentioned, we provide open computer labs accessible to all students year round. These are open during normal school hours, providing students with a space to study and work on assignments. The labs are monitored by our student workers who can provide assistance as needed.
