Center for Teaching: Big Read

2018 Big Read

Gateway Community College is participating in the Big Read!  The book is Citizen: An American Lyric by Claudia Rankine.  Mary Ellen Cody, Clara Ogbaa , Anne Williams and Barbara Segaloff (Gateway Foundation) are leading the charge.

Please join us on Feb 6 @ 1:45 pm in North 301 to hear more about this exciting project and how to incorporate Citizen across teaching disciplines.

Discussion to include:

·         Using audio, digital and hard copies of Citizen. 

·         E-resources and hard copies available at New Haven Public Library and in surrounding towns.

·         Hard copies and audio at Gateway Library

·         Review events, programs and course curriculum happening at Gateway.  

Refreshments will be served!

Please let me know if you will be attending by  Feb 2 so I may pass on the food count.

Join us at these book discussion events, sponsored by the GCC Center for Teaching. All faculty and staff are welcome! A light meal will be provided. Copies of these books are no longer available via the GCC CFT, but a copy of each is available for loan to faculty/staff via the GCC CFT Book Collection in the GCC Library.
