ACRL-IS Instructional Technologies Committee -  Interview with Nicole Finkbeiner

In honor of Open Ed Week, the committee 'll also be releasing a series of interviews with OER advocates. The first is with Nicole Finkbeiner of OpenStax talking about the open textbook movement.

During Open Education Week (March 4 - 8, 2019) and Gateway Student Empowerment Expo, (March 20th), Gateway Library conducted a student survey of open textbooks. Based on the questions, 94 students answered the question about paying for their textbooks for Spring 2019; 90 students shared their textbook preference; 75 students showed their awareness of how to search Nolo or open textbooks.
